Who listens on Anghami

Anghami has free and paid tiers and is now bundled with the OSN+ video service. Its listeners are mainly in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, with more across the Middle East, North Africa and Arab communities abroad. It is especially strong for Arabic pop, Khaleeji and Egyptian music.

For an Arabic-language artist, or anyone with listeners in the Gulf or Egypt, it belongs on every release. In July 2026 its majority owner, OSN, offered to buy the remaining shares and take Anghami private.

How music gets onto Anghami

Anghami used to let artists upload directly through Anghami for Creators. It has stopped: its help centre now says direct uploads are no longer supported and points artists to a distributor. It deals with labels and content aggregators, which deliver the audio, artwork and metadata and collect what the music earns.

So the route is the same as for Spotify or Apple Music. Tick Anghami on your release; we deliver it, and Anghami's earnings come back to your TempoDigital wallet with everything else.

Anghami for Creators

Anghami for Creators, at creators.anghami.com, is Anghami's tool for artists. Once you have claimed your page you get:

  • Daily stats — streams, top countries and top songs for each release
  • Audience insights — who listens and how they found your music
  • Your artist page — profile picture, bio and name; changes are reviewed, usually within two working days
  • Playlist pitching — submit songs to Anghami's curators (see below)

Claiming your artist page

You can only claim your page once your music is live on Anghami. Before that — while a release is pending or scheduled — the profile does not show in search. Then go to creators.anghami.com, search for your artist name or paste its link, select it, and fill in the form with email and SMS verification. Anghami reviews claims within two working days.

The claim has to come from the artist. A label account on Anghami cannot verify artist pages directly, so a label should have each artist claim their own. Anghami verifies accounts automatically once they pass 5,000 followers and 50,000 plays.

Pitching to Anghami playlists

Anghami pitching works differently from Spotify's. On Spotify you pitch a song before it comes out; on Anghami you can only pitch songs that are already live. In Anghami for Creators, choose the song and describe it — genre, mood, style and a few lines about it.

The choice belongs to Anghami's curation team, on editorial and artistic grounds. It emails you only if your song is picked; if you hear nothing, it was not. Pitching is free, and Anghami also sells paid promotion on top.

In practice: claim your page on release day, and pitch the song as soon as it is live.

Releasing on Anghami, step by step

  1. Apply and set up your artistAccounts are opened by application — tell us about your music and we usually have you ready within one working day.
  2. Add the release detailsTitle, artists, genre, release date and territories. Credit featured artists as artists rather than in the title.
  3. Upload artwork and audioSquare artwork of at least 2400 × 2400 px (3000 × 3000 is ideal) and lossless WAV, FLAC or AIFF. Both are checked on upload, which matters here: Anghami turns down low-quality audio.
  4. Pick Anghami and the other storesEvery plan includes every store at no extra charge. We deliver approved releases within 24 hours; how fast Anghami publishes is up to Anghami.
  5. Claim and pitchWhen the release is live, claim your page in Anghami for Creators and pitch the song.

Set your release date two to three weeks ahead so Anghami goes live on the same day as every other store.

How Anghami pays you

Anghami earns from advertising on its free tier and from subscriptions, and pays rights holders for plays of their music. There is no fixed amount per stream, and we do not quote one.

Prices from the live price list. Every plan includes every store we deliver to.
PlanPriceYour share of Anghami royalties
Release$8.99 per release90%
Artist$29.99 a year, unlimited releases100%
Label$149 a year, up to 10 artists100%

Stores report in arrears — most about two months after the month the streams happened. Anghami's earnings land in your TempoDigital wallet in US dollars, and above $70 you can withdraw by Payoneer, PayPal, Wise or bank transfer.

Why songs are turned down on Anghami

Anghami lists the reasons it rejects songs. Check yours against them before release:

  • Sensitive lyrics. Social or political content Anghami considers sensitive.
  • Low sound quality. Send the real master, not a compressed copy.
  • Covers without a licence. A cover needs the song licensed.
  • Remixes and mash-ups without permission. Every original you use needs to be cleared.

Two more mistakes are about timing: trying to claim your page before the music is live, and waiting weeks to pitch a song that is already out.

Frequently asked questions

How do I upload my music to Anghami?

Through a distributor. Anghami no longer accepts direct uploads from artists. Tick Anghami on your TempoDigital release and we deliver it with the other stores.

No. Anghami for Creators is now for managing your page, seeing your stats and pitching; Anghami says direct uploads are no longer supported and points artists to a distributor.

How do I claim my artist profile on Anghami?

Mainly Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE, plus the rest of the Middle East and North Africa and the Arab diaspora.
